A lot of people are reaching out ot us for a fireplace and also having us do their Chimney Flue Pipe as well.
Yes here at Smokey Mountain Fireplaces we will get your double sided, 3 sided or even custom made MCM Fireplace over to you as well as get you a chimney pipe to match it.
here is a rough layout of how we do it
We use Duravent and prefer to use DVL Double wall insulated pipe for the interior and exterior pipes we use the 7DT-24 or various length (required on exterior)
Storm Collar:
Metal band around the pipe, above the flashing that prevents water from entering between the pipe and flashing. Should also use a sealant on these- purchased locally
Roof Flashing:
Sheet metal component typically with a flat base that seals the penetration in the roof where the pipe passes through. These are to be sealed as well
Attic Insulation Shield / Attic Radiation Shield:
Chimney component that prevents insulation from being blown against the pipe and assures the pipe's heat clearance requirements. - these are not always added here at Smokey
Ceiling Support Box/ Chimney Support:
Generally the first piece of chimney that is fastened to the framing of the house and supports the entire weight of the chimney system. The bottom side often has a decorative collar and is exposed in the home's interior.
This support box is specific to the pitch of your interior ceiling.
If you have a flat ceiling we will use a 7DT-RCS (7 is the diameter)
If you have a cathedral ceiling or a sloped ceiling we will use a 7DT-CS11 or a 24" or a 36" just depends on your slope and application below is the ceiling box we use if you have a cathedral ceiling
Then between your box (and your interior pipe you need this) Flue Pipe Adapter
Chimney Connector / Stove Pipe:
Single or double wall pipe that connects a solid fuel appliance to its chimney system. Chimney connector is available in single-wall or double-wall pipe. It is important to select the proper pipe with respect to the clearance requirements to the wall, which are determined by the manufacturer in testing or NFPA 211
